What's Coming
Best in the Desert and Unlimited Off-Road Racing have merged into a single unified national series launching in 2026 — one rulebook, one class structure, one championship. The Parker 400, Mint 400, Vegas to Reno, and more all under one banner. The biggest organizational shake-up in desert racing in decades.
Semi-active suspension previously locked to factory Raptors is now a bolt-on upgrade. An IMU and ECU adjust damping hundreds of times per second using Trophy Truck-derived tech — for the Tacoma, F-150, Bronco, Wrangler, and Gladiator.
02Nobody saw it coming. Honda Racing Corporation built a full factory unlimited race truck on a 2026 Passport platform with a twin-turbo 550 hp V6 and 30" of rear suspension travel. It took pole at the Baja 500 by 8 seconds on its debut.
03The most credible EV desert race truck ever built — 1,600 hp, Geiser chassis, and SCORE actively writing new EV class rules around it. Electric desert racing is no longer hypothetical.
041,000 hp supercharged LS3, FOX bypass shocks, carbon fiber interior, full telemetry, data logging, fire suppression, and hydraulic jacks. Every build is bespoke. This is the current pinnacle of what a prerunner can be.
05SCORE debuted a brand-new points-paying Trophy Truck 2WD class in 2025 — unlimited power, starting position alongside Trophy Truck. The Honda Passport ran here. It's already reshaping who builds what and how fast.
06Four factory Ford Raptor T1+ entries at Dakar 2026 — Carlos Sainz, Nani Roma, Matthias Ekström, and Mitch Guthrie Jr. Lighter, more aero-efficient, and backed by FOX and Method Race Wheels. Ford's largest desert racing commitment in history.
